Film Festival Opening Night Film and Filmmaker Reception at AcA on Wednesday, Jan. 26th


The Cinema on the Bayou Film Society is pleased to announce that the 6th Cinema on the Bayou Film Festival will open on Wednesday, Jan. 26th at 6:30 p.m. at the Acadiana Center for the Arts with the Louisiana premiere of "Disfarmer: A Portrait of America," a documentary on a master portrait photographer who created hauntingly beautiful portraits of the towns people of Heber Springs, Arkansas in the 1940's and 50's. The film will screen in the new James Devin Moncus Theater at the AcA.

Toronto, Canada based filmmaker Dennis Mohr will introduce the film and participate in an audience Q&A afterwards. The film screening will be followed by an opening night reception with complimentary wine and boudin. Tickets are $10 per person/$8 for AcA members and can be purchased at the door or online at http://www.acadianacenterforthearts.org/.
